Travel has been part of my life as long as I can remember. My father is a member of the Explorers Club who has been to every continent and almost 90 countries, and I grew up being quizzed on world capitals and playing Carmen Sandiego. By college I'd spent a semester living with a French family in Paris and studied theater in London. A few years later, I found myself practicing corporate law while daydreaming of itineraries to India at my desk between deals. I spent several years at home with the kids before coming back to travel — this time as a career. Today I plan trips full-time from North Carolina, where I live with my husband and our two sons.
